Experienced Propulsion Engineer

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an experienced Propulsion Engineer to join the Flight Science team in Las Vegas, NV.
or Berkeley, MO.
This position will be responsible for propulsion system support and analysis.
The Flight Engineering Capability is an exciting organizational element in Boeing Defense, Space & Security, responsible for Flight Engineering work statements.
Position
Responsibilities:
Perform propulsion system support and analysisDefines requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
Defines, coordinates and controls the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
Develops specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Uses various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
Defines and performs certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
Supports fielded systems to assure continued reliability.
This position primarily supports 1st shift, but may require shift flexibility and/or weekend support, as needed.
Requires travel between Las Vegas and Berkeley two or more times per month.
This position requires an active U.
S.
Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required).
(A U.
S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
An interim and/or final U.
S.
Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryMinimum 3 years of experience in an engineering disciplineExperience working in Fuel Systems or Propulsion SystemsExperience with jet engines and/or fuel system mechanical operation fundamentalsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current Top Secret clearancePropulsion ground and flight testPropulsion analysisPropulsion system installationPropulsion system supportEngine operabilityExperience with field support or working in a field support environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independentlyTypical Education &
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.
g.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
